You are free to bring your sketchbook, your camera, your smartphone, or simply walk and take time out.

MASTERCLASS: Forest Bathing & Mindful Photography

Beginning with a guided forest bathing walk – a multi-sensory nature immersion practice (based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin – Yoku) that will enable you to slow down, take in the forest atmosphere and learn how to become better connected to your surroundings.

Following on from this, we’ll explore how a more mindful approach to photography can help you become more aware of your surroundings and enable you to see the extraordinary with the ordinary while encouraging you to find your own way of seeing.

MASTERCLASS: Creative smartphone editing

A deep dive into the world of smartphone photography to help you reconnect you to your creative side. We will cover alternative techniques for making images, including multiple exposure and ICM, as well as the creative opportunities offered by editing apps.

MASTERCLASS: SPARK YOUR CREATIVITY

Ready for a hit of awe and inspiration? This session will explore the links between creativity and wellbeing. We’ll be looking at how we can tap into the power of positive emotions to keep our creative fires burning. And how experimenting with new practices can help cultivate self-belief. 
 
In this nurturing session you will get the opportunity to play with words, get a bit messy with paper and glue, and channel your inner child to create a sensory collage. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of why it’s so important that we give ourselves permission to do the things that spark curiosity, joy and wonder.

MASTERCLASS: A Journey Into Bookbinding

Join bookbinder Cass Barron for creative bookbinding that will equip you with the skills to make a range of book structures. It’s an opportunity to try your hand at this craft and leave with books that can display your photography, or be used as a sketchbook or journal.

Cass will take you through the process from start to finish with lots of ideas on personalising and finishing touches.  Following the workshop you will have access to a series of video tutorials by Cass.
